The Premier Performance CZ Midway Championships aims to give riders who do not compete strings of horses at the lower levels, or who only have two horses in 2026 competing at the higher levels, an opportunity to compete at a Championship type show. We had a fantastic show in 2024 and huge thanks go to all our sponsors, competitors and helpers, without whom we cannot run.
Unfortunately due to prior commitments for the organiser, the show will not be running in 2025. However we are really looking forward to being back in 2026, and the dates are already agreed as 21st & 22nd August 2026. We will be running in the same format with Music classes and a Gala Evening also running on Friday 21st August.
The show will also run the same format in 2026 with riders completing a test on Friday and a test on Saturday and the combined scores will determine the winner. The eligibility criteria for 2026 is as below.
Prelim to Advanced Medium - Riders who have competed 2 or less horses in British Dressage competitions since 1st January 2026, and who have not competed at a CDI since 1st January 2021 are eligible.
Prix St Georges to Grand Prix - Riders, who may have competed any number of horses from Preliminary to Advanced Medium, but have only competed TWO horses at PSG or higher at British Dressage or FEI competitions since 1st January 2026, and who have also not competed at a CDI since 1st January 2021 are eligible.
Class 18, the Grand Prix class, has now been set up to allow riders to choose which test they wish to ride on each day. Either the Grand Prix Freestyle or the Grand Prix may be chosen on the first day. And then either the Intermediare II or the Grand Prix may be chosen on the second day. Placings will be determined by adding the percentages obtained on each day together and the highest total percentage will be the winner. Please make sure you enter the correct section of Class 18.
Horse and rider combinations will also need to qualify for the show by achieving the number of specified scores for their level by close of entries on 31 July 2026. Classes will be closed earlier if they are oversubscribed.
The show will run over 2 days on 21st and 22nd August 2026 and will take place at Hartpury College.
All competitors entering the Midway Music classes (classes 21-27) will automatically be entered in the equivalent BD Affiliated Music Class. Competitors may enter an additional BD Music Qualifier if they wish, by entering the appropriate class. All classes will be run under BD rules.
Entries can made on line at www.horsemonkey.com from 1st July 2026.
The main Championship will run over the 2 days and will run from Prelim to Grand Prix. Each combination will complete 2 tests at their level and the overall winner for each level will be decided on the total good marks presented as a percentage of the total marks available. There are no prizes for placings on each day.
The Music classes will run from Prelim to Grand Prix on Friday 21st August in the main Hartpury Arena. The organiser reserves the right to run the Novice music class on Saturday 22nd August if entries permit. Any combination who has competed in the main Championship will be eligible to enter the Music Championship, at the same level or above. Entries in the Music classes will automatically be entered in the appropriate affiliated Music class.
